Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Labor and Delivery unit
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery process
• Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Operate and monitor fetal monitoring equipment and other specialized medical devices
• Provide emotional support and comfort measures to patients and families
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Maintain current nursing licensure and required certifications
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
• Work assigned shifts including nights and weekends as needed
• Complete mandatory training programs and competency assessments
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
