Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Outpatient Clinic to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Rehab in Huntersville, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult oncology patients with breast cancer diagnoses
• Perform in-office surgical procedures including port removals, breast biopsies, and wide local excisions
• Conduct telephone triage for patient calls and provide appropriate guidance
• Communicate test results to patients via phone calls
• Provide patient education regarding oncology care and post-surgical instructions
• Deliver post-surgical care and monitoring for oncology patients
• Handle 20-25 patient visits per day in outpatient clinic setting
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for patient documentation
• Implement isolation precautions as required for patient safety
• Float between facilities including one day per week at affiliate location
• Operate specialized equipment including Trophon Ultrasound
• Complete EKG testing certification prior to assignment start
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Participate in multi-week onboarding and orientation process
• Adhere to facility dress code requirements including navy blue scrubs
• Work collaboratively with team members and receive procedural training as needed
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
