Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform nuclear medicine technician duties in outpatient facility setting
• Maintain current BLS certification and required nuclear medicine certifications (CNMT, NMTCB or ARRT)
• Conduct various nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, brain scans, liver scans, renal scans, and sestamibi parathyroid scans
• Perform cardiac stress tests and pharmacological stress procedures using Lexiscan
• Operate nuclear medicine equipment from manufacturers including GE, Phillips, and Siemens
• Conduct PET scans when required
• Draw venous blood as needed for procedures
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Float between facilities within the state as assigned
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years during compliance process
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Maintain valid state licensure within 4 weeks of position submission
• Complete 40 hours of orientation training
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
