Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform Nuclear Medicine Technician duties working with PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine equipment
• Operate Siemens PET/CT machine and nuclear medicine equipment including 2 E-CAM machines and 1 orbiter
• Conduct specialized procedures including MIBG, Octreotide scan, thyroid uptake and scan, thyroid ablation treatment, and renogram procedures
• Perform cardiac stress tests including exercise, vasodilator, and thallium scan procedures
• Execute bone scans including whole body, 3-phase, and limited bone scans
• Conduct lung perfusion and ventilation scans, liver spleen scans, and brain SPECT procedures
• Perform GI studies including gastric emptying, HIDA scans, and GI bleed studies
• Complete specialized imaging including parathyroid scans, MUGA scans, and lymphoscintigraphy
• Provide patient care services to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Start and maintain peripheral IVs and perform phlebotomy procedures
• Utilize charting systems for documentation and maintain PACS system proficiency
• Float between outpatient center and hospital settings as required
• Work with students and provide mentorship when needed
• Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure
• Hold current ARRT Nuclear Medicine Technician certification or NMTCB certification
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Float between all facilities within the state as required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
