Experience
- Minimum 1 year sterile processing experience required
- Experience with robotic instrumentation required
License & Certification Required
- Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or equivalent certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA required
Skills Required
- Experience with high-level disinfection (HLD)
- Experience with cleaning equipment such as crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps
- Knowledge of sterilization wrapping procedures
- Experience with case cart assembly
- Ability to document equipment use
- Experience with steam sterilization testing/monitoring
- Experience with immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS)
- Knowledge of proper selection of wrapping materials
- Experience with sets/trays assembly
- Experience with manual cleaning and proper labeling
- Experience with ultrasonic cleaners
- Experience with organizing trays and placing instruments on trays
- Experience with biological and chemical indicators
- Knowledge of ophthalmology, podiatry, and other specialties
- Experience with various surgical systems, including Da Vinci robotics
Desired Skills
- Prefer experience with Epic charting system
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Experience with different types of drills and instruments
