Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate OT - Therapy Rehab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide occupational therapy services to acute care patients across various units as assigned
• Work 4x10 hour shifts (07:00 - 17:00) with rotation schedule
• Work 3 weekend days per month as required
• Work one holiday per year as scheduled
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during therapy sessions
• Float between units within the hospital as needed with appropriate training provided
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Maintain current BLS and NBCOT certifications
• Provide therapy services for adults and geriatric patients
• Perform acute care occupational therapy including activities of daily living, biofeedback, cardiac rehabilitation, and various therapeutic techniques
• Work with specialized equipment including electrical stimulation, TENS, ultrasound, and various splinting materials
• Treat conditions including arthritis, hand injuries, hip fractures, knee injuries, soft tissue injuries, and prosthetic training
• Complete required training modules during orientation and annually (average 16 hours, non-billable)
• Self-report time spent on training modules with completion recorded in Workramp transcripts
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within last 3 years
• Maintain valid OR state occupational therapy license
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Have reliable personal vehicle available for assignment requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
