Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technologist - Echo Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Highland Park, IL. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform adult echocardiograms including 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, M-Mode, and Color Doppler studies
• Conduct pediatric echocardiograms including complex congenital anomalies and post-surgical repairs
• Perform stress echocardiograms including treadmill and pharmacologic stress testing
• Conduct Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) procedures
• Perform bubble studies and imaging with contrast agents
• Complete portable echocardiographic studies in ICU and ED settings
• Conduct advanced echo assessments including LV Strain, Diastology, and PISA measurements
• Float between multiple facilities within Lake County and Cook County as required
• Work rotating weekends every 4th-6th weekend
• Take on-call responsibilities twice during contract for 6-7 days each rotation
• Document findings using Epic charting system
• Maintain current BLS certification and ARDMS/RDCS credentials
• Pass EKG test with 84% or higher on first attempt
• Work with pediatric patients including scanning complex congenital anomalies
• Perform procedures on patients requiring isolation precautions and PPE
• Utilize Philips and Siemens ultrasound equipment
• Provide coverage for emergency department and intensive care unit studies
• Complete routine and complex echocardiographic assessments
• Work 8-hour shifts with varying start times between 7:00am-8:00am
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IL
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
