Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Milwaukie, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide perioperative nursing care for elective, urgent, and emergent surgical cases across multiple specialties including General, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, GYN, Ortho, Plastics, and Podiatry • Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and CNOR certifications • Perform circulating duties for various surgical procedures including cataract extraction, eye trauma, glaucoma surgery, joint replacements, laparoscopic procedures, and other specialized surgeries • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed to meet unit requirements • Work on-call shifts including 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month • Provide patient care for all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during surgical procedures • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Must have reliable vehicle transportation for floating between facilities • Adhere to facility policies and procedures for surgical patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
