Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process
• Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice
• Carry out functions according to medical center policy, mission, and standards of practice as defined by professional and regulatory guidelines
• Perform circulating nurse duties in the operating room
• Provide nursing care for Ortho, General, GYN, Urology, and Neuro surgical procedures
• Work weekend and holiday shifts as required
• Participate in on-call responsibilities
• Maintain current BLS (AHA) certification
• Maintain valid Michigan state nursing license
• Complete skills checklist within one year of application
• Monitor surgical procedures and patient health and safety during operations
• Assist surgical team with state-of-the-art technology and equipment
• Provide superior care to patients and their families throughout the surgical experience
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
