Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - PACU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive PACU nursing care for Phase I and Phase II recovery patients
• Care for patients across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Maintain 2:1 patient ratios during day and night shifts
• Float between main PACU unit and TASC (Ambulatory Surgical Center) as required
• Provide care in 6 preop bays, 8 PACU bays, and 4 Phase II bays
• Maintain active Arizona RN license or valid compact license
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Utilize Cerner charting system for patient documentation
• Work 3 twelve-hour night shifts (18:00-06:30) including weekends
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Provide care for ventilated patients when applicable
• Recognize and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Complete 48 hours of orientation and required training modules
• Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards including BCMA
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy
• Handle both ambulatory outpatient and inpatient surgical recoveries
• Provide two professional references covering recent employment history
• Complete compliance documentation within specified timeframes
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
