Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technologist - Echo Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform echocardiogram procedures including 2-D Echo, M-Mode, Color Doppler, and Diastology studies • Conduct specialized echo procedures such as Bubble Studies, LV Strain/LV Volume assessments, and imaging with contrast agents • Perform pharmacologic stress echo and treadmill stress echo procedures • Provide echo services for patients in ICU/ED settings • Build preliminary echo reports in the EMR for physician interpretation • Make measurements according to American Society of Echocardiography standards • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and reporting • Provide echo services for adult and geriatric patient populations • Apply isolation precautions as required for patient safety • Use Simpson's Rule methodology for cardiac measurements • Operate echo equipment including Philips systems • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Complete 40 hours of orientation training • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (average 16 hours, non-billable) • Work with interdisciplinary support including IV teams • Maintain current RDCS, ARDMS, or equivalent certifications • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules through Workramp transcripts • Maintain vehicle for assignment transportation requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
