Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scans including abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, and musculoskeletal imaging with and without contrast
• Conduct specialized procedures including brain perfusion, coronary CTA, vascular CTA, and heart imaging
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required for imaging procedures
• Operate and maintain 64 slice Toshiba Aquilion scanner and 64 slice GE lightspeed equipment
• Provide imaging services for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Handle high volume caseload primarily consisting of emergency department patients
• Support primary stroke receiving center operations with urgent imaging needs
• Perform biopsies, aspirations, and drainage procedures under CT guidance
• Utilize PACS system for image management and documentation
• Maintain radiation safety protocols and ensure patient safety during procedures
• Assist with patient transport when needed despite availability of transport support
• Work flexible shift schedules including 0600, 0800, 1500, and 1700 start times
• Maintain current BLS certification and required state licensure
• Complete pre-start and annual training modules and compliance documentation
• Commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays as required
• Float between facilities within the state as assigned
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within comparable specialty
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices for work-related duties when required
• Document time spent on non-billable training modules accurately
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
