Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Seward, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care services as a Certified Nursing Assistant in long-term care setting
• Assist with activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, ambulation, and repositioning
• Monitor and obtain vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations
• Perform glucose point of care testing using glucometer
• Provide personal care services including perineal care, mouth care, and incontinence care
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility using mechanical lifts (Skylifts, Hoyers)
• Maintain proper isolation precautions and infection control procedures
• Document patient care activities using ECS charting system
• Report changes in patient condition to supervisory staff
• Provide care for patients with various diagnoses including dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, and psychological behaviors
• Maintain patient ratios of up to 1:20 during day shifts and 1:10 during night shifts
• Float between units and affiliate hospitals as needed to meet staffing requirements
• Work variable 12-hour shifts (3x12 or 4x12) including days, nights, and weekends
• Comply with facility dress code and safety policies
• Maintain current BLS certification and Alaska CNA licensure
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Work minimum of 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering required employment period in comparable LTC setting
• Complete Hepatitis B vaccination or obtain medical exemption as required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
