Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Seward, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as a CNA in long-term care setting
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (average 16 hours, non-billable)
• Work at least 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Utilize ECS charting system for documentation
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain valid Alaska state CNA licensure or complete license application within 72 hours of contract signing
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 6 months of LTC employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Perform duties using facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Assist with activities of daily living including feeding, ambulation, turning and repositioning
• Perform vital signs monitoring including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations
• Provide personal care services including bathing, perineal care, and grooming
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition
• Maintain infection control and isolation precautions
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility
• Provide care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, and psychological behaviors
• Operate medical equipment including glucometers, pulse oximetry, oxygen tanks, and lift equipment
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
