Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in the Operating Room for trauma, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, general, plastic, and ENT surgical procedures • Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment • Utilize Epic charting system for all documentation requirements • Participate in on-call rotation distributed equally among nursing staff every 6 weeks (up to 6-8 shifts including nights, evenings, and weekends) • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required • Cover night shifts as needed within contract requirements • Work with various surgical equipment including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, cell saver, electrosurgical units, and specialized orthopedic equipment • Perform scrub and circulating roles as assigned • Respond to trauma cases including gunshot/stab wounds and multiple injury cases • Assist with complex procedures including craniotomies, spinal fusions, total joint replacements, and robotic surgeries • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Maintain valid state licensure throughout assignment • Adhere to facility policies including dress code and safety protocols • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Provide care to patients across all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
