Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Eureka, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
• Perform coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Conduct peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Assist with permanent pacemaker insertions
• Handle daily caseload of 8-12 procedures
• Maintain current ARRT, Fluoro Permit, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Accept call requirements as assigned
• Complete 30 hours of facility orientation
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Complete required modules pre-start and annually (average 16 hours)
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Maintain valid California state nursing license
• Perform various cardiac catheterization procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, and cardioversion
• Monitor patients during procedural sedation
• Manage cardiac monitoring equipment and interpret dysrhythmias
• Assist with central line insertion and management
• Administer blood products and emergency medications as needed
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Adhere to radiation and laser safety protocols
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
