Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Eureka, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory for adult and geriatric patients • Perform coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, and cardiac catheterizations • Conduct peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures • Assist with permanent pacemaker insertions and cardiac device implantations • Monitor patients during procedural sedation and manage dysrhythmias • Operate and maintain specialized cardiac catheterization equipment and monitoring devices • Perform pre and post procedure patient care and assessments • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications • Maintain valid California nursing license and required certifications including ARRT and Fluoro Permit • Work weekend shifts and be available for call duties as required • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty setting • Adhere to radiation and laser safety protocols • Manage vascular access devices including PICC lines and central lines • Administer emergency medications and blood products as needed • Comply with infection prevention and isolation precautions • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
