Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Polson, MT. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive LDRP nursing care for both mothers and babies throughout all phases of obstetric care • Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients • Circulate for C-sections as needed • Manage patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:4 as assigned • Float to other units to assist with general nursing tasks when no L&D patients present • Answer phones and perform IV starts when floating • Work variable weekend shifts distributed evenly among nursing staff • Accept call assignments with maximum of once per pay period • Complete 24 hours of facility orientation • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (non-billable time) • Self-report time spent on training modules through Workramp transcripts • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Submit compliance documentation by Monday prior to start date • Maintain valid Montana or Compact RN license • Care for patients across age groups including neonates, infants, and adults • Utilize wireless fetal monitoring and JADA devices for postpartum hemorrhage • Provide newborn care including management of conditions such as PIH and NAS • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team including PT, respiratory, pharmacy, and other support services
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MT
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
