Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Polson, MT. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive LDRP nursing care for mothers and babies during all phases of obstetrical care
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:4 as assigned
• Perform sterile vaginal examinations and triage obstetrical patients
• Circulate for cesarean sections and assist with labor and delivery procedures
• Provide newborn care including assessment and monitoring
• Utilize Epic electronic medical record system for patient documentation
• Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications
• Float to other units as needed to assist with general nursing skills when no L&D patients present
• Work variable weekends, typically every other weekend
• Take call maximum once per pay period
• Complete 24 hours of orientation training
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (non-billable time, self-reported)
• Provide care for neonates, infants, and adult patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT, respiratory, pharmacy, and other support services
• Manage patients with diagnoses including PIH and NAS
• Utilize specialized equipment including wireless fetal monitoring and JADA device for PPH
• Maintain valid RN license and complete compliance documentation
• Provide supervisory references covering one year of experience within comparable specialty
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MT
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
