Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ICU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Cottonwood, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as an ICU RN with ability to float to MS/TELE units as needed
• Maintain ICU patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 and MS/TELE ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Care for critically ill patients including neuro and trauma cases
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and ventilated patients
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Perform ventilator management and monitoring
• Start and maintain IV access for patients
• Document patient care using Cerner charting system
• Work 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts from 7PM to 7AM
• Work every other weekend as required
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
• Complete 24 hours of facility orientation
• Maintain current Arizona RN license or valid compact state license
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Complete required training modules during first week of assignment
• Provide two professional references with one from most recent employer
• Float between ICU, MS/TELE, and affiliate hospitals based on census and staffing needs
• Adhere to medication administration protocols including BCMA
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Comply with facility dress code requiring navy blue scrubs
• Complete compliance testing within required timeframes
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
