Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ICU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Napa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the ICU setting with 1:2 patient ratios • Care for patients with diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, COVID, ESRD, trauma, and subdural hematoma • Monitor patients with ICP monitoring systems and manage complex equipment • Operate and monitor CRRT (Prismaflex), IABP, and Impella devices • Manage patients with external ventricular drains (EVD) • Provide post-operative care for CABG patients • Utilize Epic charting system for all documentation • Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH stroke scale certifications • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Work every other weekend and be available for on-call duties • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams • Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations • Maintain valid California RN licensure • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable ICU setting • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required • Complete 12-hour orientation program • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Adhere to facility dress code wearing solid royal blue scrubs
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
