Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - CVOR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing services in the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
• Work 10-hour day shifts Monday through Friday from 0630 to 1700
• Take call 10 days per month including one weekend per month from 1500-0700
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Circulate and scrub for cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Assist with Aortic Valves, Mitral Valves, ASD, Redo Surgeries, Esophagogastrectomy procedures
• Support CABG with and without valve repair/replace, VATS, Thoracotomy, Mediastinoscopy
• Participate in Mitral Clip, TAVR, Ascending Aortic Aneurysm Repair procedures
• Assist with Groin Exploration, Port a Cath Placement, Robotic Thoracic Surgery
• Support Carotid Endarterectomy, IABP insertion and removal, Myxoma Removal
• Participate in Pneumonectomy, Chamberlin Procedure, Tracheostomy, VSD procedures
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Work with PYXIS medication dispensing system
• Communicate using SBAR methodology
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients ranging from 20s to 90s
• Work in 3-room cardiovascular operating suite
• Float to other units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals as needed
• Complete 36 hours of orientation
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required pre-start and annual modules (8-10 hours)
• Maintain valid nursing licensure
• Provide two supervisory references from the past 12 months
• Adhere to facility fatigue policy (no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week)
• Complete compliance testing within 48 hours of assignment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Transportation
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
