Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - IR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Salisbury, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide interventional radiology nursing services with minimum 2 years experience and required IR experience
• Scrub and circulate procedures in combination IR/Cardiology lab with 85%/15% split (IR being 85%)
• Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications
• Provide STEMI call coverage and respond to callbacks within 30 minutes for STEMIs
• Work as part of 3-person call team providing 24/7 coverage for STEMI/emergent/urgent IR and cardiology procedures
• Participate in weekly rotation providing procedure coverage for interventional radiology, invasive cardiology, peripheral vascular and EP device implant procedures
• Work call schedule: twice a week for two weeks in the month, one call weekend (Friday night-Monday morning) per month
• Perform IV starts, triage, PA lines, and conscious sedation procedures
• Monitor and administer procedural sedation
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and administer emergency medications
• Operate specialized equipment including MAC Lab, IVUS, Toshiba Angio Lab, Angio Jet, and various ablation systems
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3-4 patients
• Complete 16 hours of unit orientation
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (8-10 hours non-billable)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Maintain valid nursing license and provide two supervisory references from past 12 months
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
