Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Salisbury, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the provider while performing diagnostic/interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
• Scrub and circulate IR/Cath Lab procedures and cardiology procedures
• Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, and ARRT or RCIS certifications
• Perform EKG lead placement
• Maintain sterile field during procedures
• Provide coverage for urgent/emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures
• Respond to STEMI callbacks within 30 minutes
• Work as part of a three-person team including at least one RN
• Handle approximately 90% interventional radiology cases and 10% other procedure types
• Operate specialized equipment including GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, and various atherectomy systems
• Work 8-hour day shifts from 07:30 to 16:00
• Take call during weekdays from 16:00 to 07:30 and weekend call from Friday 16:00 to Monday 07:30
• Work every third weekend
• Complete 40-80 hours of unit orientation
• Complete required non-billable training modules pre-start and annually
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Provide care to adult and geriatric patients
• Handle procedures involving device implants such as PPM and ICD
• Complete required testing within 48 hours of assignment
• Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
