Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 nights at a leading Hospital in Petoskey, MI. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing services in the Operating Room across various surgical specialties including General, Ortho, Endo-Vascular, Urgo, and OB procedures • Perform duties during 10-hour night shifts from 8:45pm-7:15am • Maintain current BLS (AHA) certification • Maintain valid Michigan nursing license with LARA and Nursys verification • Complete skills checklist within one year of application • Provide care for general elective surgeries as well as critical or life-saving procedures • Adhere to strict 3 strike attendance policy with no absences or tardiness exceeding 20 minutes • Take one weeknight call shift every week from 7pm-11pm • Participate in weekend on-call rotation one weekend per month, rotating between Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7p-7a and Saturday and Sunday 7a-7p • Transition to 10-hour day shifts (6:45am-5:15pm) with non-consecutive working days after November 14, 2025 if contract extends • Assist with full spectrum of surgical procedures and tests across various medical specialties • Maintain professional standards and comply with health system-wide profile requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
