Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Seward, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care services as a Certified Nursing Assistant in long-term care setting
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment duration
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (average 16 hours, non-billable)
• Work minimum of 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Utilize ECS charting system for patient documentation
• Float within facility and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain valid state CNA licensure (Alaska license required or pending with proper documentation)
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering required employment period in LTC setting
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications within specified timeframes
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules through Workramp system
• Perform vital sign assessments including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, and ambulation
• Provide specialized care for geriatric patients including those with Alzheimer's, dementia, and TBI
• Maintain patient ratios of up to 1:20 during day shifts and 1:10 during night shifts
• Operate medical equipment including Skylifts, Hoyers, and vital sign machines
• Implement isolation precautions and infection control measures
• Perform safe patient transfers and repositioning techniques
• Provide wound care and pressure injury prevention measures
• Document and report changes in patient condition to supervisory staff
• Maintain professional standards and adhere to facility policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
