Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Sioux City, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on medical surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Complete Trinity Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training
• Maintain current nursing license and certification verification
• Complete Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty-specific competency testing
• Undergo required health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD/IGRA, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete fit testing and color vision assessment
• Maintain COVID-19 and annual influenza vaccination requirements
• Complete Trinity Profile documentation and onboarding requirements
• Pass 10-panel drug screening and criminal background check
• Complete Joint Commission testing and specialty competency assessments
• Adhere to Trinity Code of Conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Work night shift hours from 07:00 PM to 07:00 AM
• Document patient care activities and assessments accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Complete required compliance training modules and certifications
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
