Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Neuro to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Sioux City, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing care in the neurological unit
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday schedule
• Maintain current nursing license and complete license verification
• Complete fit testing and maintain respiratory protection certification
• Adhere to facility code of conduct and professional standards
• Complete I-9 employment verification documentation
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and proprietary information
• Complete integrity and audit services requirements
• Pass specialty-specific competency testing for neurological nursing
• Complete color vision testing requirements
• Maintain current immunizations including MMR, Hepatitis B, tuberculosis screening, varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, and influenza vaccines
• Complete physical and health assessment requirements
• Undergo criminal background check and maintain clean record
• Complete education verification process
• Pass required compliance screenings including EPLS, GSA/OIG, and OFAC
• Complete Joint Commission testing and training requirements
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
• Complete skills checklist and demonstrate clinical competencies
• Complete child and adult dependent abuse training
• Pass drug screening requirements
• Work 12.5-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
