Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Des Moines, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services in Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
• Float to all acute care units as needed
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Maintain current nursing licensure and certifications
• Complete required compliance documentation and training programs
• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans
• Document patient care activities in electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols
• Complete required health screenings and immunizations
• Participate in continuing education and competency testing
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled
• Maintain professional standards and code of conduct
• Complete background checks and screening requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
