Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cardiac Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Salisbury, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for cardiac and stroke patients in a telemetry unit setting • Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6 patients per assignment • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias using telemetry equipment • Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone • Provide pre and post procedure care for cardiac catheterization, pacemaker implantation, and cardioverter/defibrillator procedures • Manage TR bands and post interventional peripheral vascular procedures • Care for patients with unstable angina, CHF, dysrhythmias, CVA, and TIA • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Start and maintain IV access and peripheral line care • Administer blood products and manage heparin protocols • Provide care for patients on high flow oxygen, non-rebreather masks, and BiPAP • Float between units and affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and acuity • Work 12-hour day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15 • Work every other weekend with required Monday and Friday coverage • Complete 36 hours of unit orientation during first week • Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Pass EKG testing prior to assignment start • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required • Adhere to fatigue policy limitations of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Utilize rapid response and code teams when appropriate • Provide wound care including wound vac management • Follow isolation precautions for COVID-positive patients • Manage high patient turnover with 78-90 patients per week on the unit
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
