Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Salisbury, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
• Operate Varian True Beam linear accelerator equipment
• Perform adult outpatient radiation therapy treatments
• Utilize CBCT/kV/mV imaging for patient positioning and verification
• Apply beam modifiers and field shaping techniques
• Administer electron field treatments
• Perform respiratory gating and breath hold techniques for left breast treatments
• Treat prostate cancer patients with seeds and fiducials
• Operate dosimetry systems including electron beam therapy and IMRT
• Use ARIA treatment planning and record verification system
• Maintain current BLS, ARRT, and ARRT (T) certifications
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Document patient treatments and maintain accurate records
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during radiation treatments
• Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and treatment delivery
• Collaborate with radiation oncology team members
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
