Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scans in adult acute care, emergency department, and pediatric acute care settings • Operate Siemens CT scanner equipment independently • Conduct abdomen and pelvis scans both with and without contrast • Perform chest imaging including vascular studies for pulmonary embolism, CTA, and aorta • Execute head and neck imaging including carotid, head with/without contrast, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head studies • Perform spine and musculoskeletal imaging including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and trauma studies • Utilize PACS system for image management and workflow • Conduct image display and post processing including multiplanar reconstruction and region of interest measurements • Maintain isolation precautions and radiation safety protocols • Prepare and administer contrast media as required • Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture procedures • Document patient care and procedures using Epic charting system • Complete 10 hours of unit orientation training • Work scheduled shifts Monday through Thursday from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM • Maintain current ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications • Maintain current BLS certification • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (8-10 hours for acute care roles) • Comply with facility dress code requirements including royal blue scrubs • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required • Adhere to fatigue policy limitations of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Complete compliance testing within 48 hours of assignment signing
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
