Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as an OR RN in Level 1 trauma center with 11 operating rooms
• Maintain active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid compact license
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Work 3x12 hour shifts (Days/Mids 06:30-19:00/10:30-23:00) with 1:1 patient ratios
• Provide care for high volume ortho, trauma, spine cases and all other specialties with minimal pediatrics
• Demonstrate competency in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro surgeries including craniotomies
• Handle on-call requirements up to 8 weekday shifts and 9 weekend call shifts with 30-minute recall
• Work weekends as needed, typically every 3rd weekend
• Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed based on skill sets and census
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
• Utilize Cerner charting system for documentation
• Complete required modules and training programs during orientation (average 6 hours)
• Provide two professional references with one from most recent employer within 1 year
• Complete compliance documentation within specified timeframes
• Adhere to facility dress code with provided OR scrubs
• Demonstrate proficiency in various surgical procedures including trauma cases, gunshot/stab wounds, and multiple specialties
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and other support services
• Maintain patient safety standards including medication administration protocols
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
