Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in a high-volume Level 1 trauma center with 11 OR rooms • Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during surgical procedures • Perform in multiple surgical specialties including general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro procedures (specifically craniotomies) • Handle high-volume orthopedic, trauma, and spine cases along with all other surgical specialties • Maintain active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid participating compact license • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications • Work 3 x 12-hour day shifts from 06:30 to 19:00 • Take on-call responsibilities up to 8 weekday shifts and up to 9 weekend call shifts with 30-minute recall time • Work weekend coverage as needed, typically every 3rd weekend • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas) • Complete 40 hours of orientation and required training modules during first week • Utilize Cerner charting system for documentation • Float to other units within hospital or affiliate hospitals based on skill sets and census needs • Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and other departments • Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards including medication administration protocols • Complete compliance documentation and testing within required timeframes • Provide two professional references from previous employers • Complete required background checks and state-specific releases as needed
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
