Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Cottonwood, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room as a Registered Nurse • Circulate during surgical procedures including Ortho, General, OB/Gyn, C-sections, Urology, Vascular, Endo, Breast cases, plastics, and Podiatry • Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications • Work with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations • Complete 8 on-call shifts per month including weekends with 20-minute response time • Work Monday through Friday 5x8 hour shifts maintaining 1:1 patient ratios • Document patient care using Cerner charting system • Utilize Pyxis medication management system • Float to other areas as helping hands per job role and abilities • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas) • Complete required orientation modules and training programs during first week • Provide two professional references with one from most recent employer within 1 year • Maintain minimum 2 years of OR experience with demonstrated competency in Orthopedics • Assist with endoscopy cases when needed • Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and others • Complete required compliance documentation within specified deadlines • Maintain valid RN licensure and required certifications
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
