Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide operating room nursing care with 1:1 patient ratios during night shifts • Serve as relief charge nurse on Wednesdays with additional charge responsibilities • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day) • Maintain active unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid compact license • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications • Provide patient care in Level 1 trauma center OR with 11 rooms handling high volume ortho, trauma and spine cases • Demonstrate competency in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro procedures including craniotomies • Utilize Cerner charting system for patient documentation • Complete orientation modules averaging 6 hours during first week of assignment • Float to other units within hospital or affiliate hospitals based on census and skill sets • Work weekend shifts as needed, typically every 3rd weekend • Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA) • Provide care across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Complete required compliance documentation within specified deadlines • Provide two professional references with one from most recent employer within 1 year of start date • Complete laboratory testing within 72 hours after contract signing • Maintain competency in extensive surgical procedures including trauma cases, joint replacements, spinal fusions, and various specialty surgeries
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
