Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide respiratory therapy services for neonatal and pediatric patients
• Work 7p-7a shift, 36 hours per week with every other weekend requirement
• Float to adult respiratory therapy units based on patient census needs
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Complete required health screenings including fit testing and drug screening
• Maintain current state respiratory therapy licensure
• Complete mandatory compliance forms and agreements
• Ensure up-to-date vaccination status including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, and others
• Complete tuberculosis screening through 2-step PPD or IGRA testing
• Pass criminal background check and education verification
• Complete Joint Commission testing requirements
• Demonstrate competency through skills checklist completion
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
• Complete required system access and security training
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IL
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
