Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technologist - Echo Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform proficient, quality echocardiograms for both inpatient and outpatient pediatric patients • Conduct neonatal echocardiograms for babies younger than 1 year old in labor and delivery and Infant Special Care Units • Perform adult echocardiograms in addition to pediatrics as needed • Complete echo procedures including bubble studies, contrast agents, pharmacologic stress echoes, and treadmill stress echos • Learn facility protocols and obtain competency sign-off within 1-2 days • Work 8-hour shifts with start times varying between 7:00am-4:30pm • Work rotating weekends every 4th-6th weekend • Provide on-call coverage twice during contract for 6-7 days from 4pm-7am and weekends • Float between multiple facilities including sister facilities based on business needs and patient census • Maintain valid state licensure and required certifications including ARDMS RDCS AE, BLS, and CCI RCS • Operate ultrasound equipment including Phillips and Siemens systems • Provide minimum 3+ years of echo experience and demonstrate proficiency in structural echocardiograms • Document patient care using Epic charting system • Complete daily caseload of approximately 7 patients per 8-hour shift • Pass required EKG test with 84% or higher score on first attempt • Work with pediatric patients, adults, and geriatrics across various age groups • Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including interpretation services and transportation • Complete competency evaluation and sign-off by Pediatric Cardiologist • Maintain professional appearance according to facility scrub requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IL
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
