Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading $facility_type$ in Clinton, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical unit
• Work holiday rotation including one summer and one winter holiday
• Work every third weekend as part of scheduled rotation
• Work 12.5-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM
• Maintain current RN licensure and provide license verification
• Complete mandatory health screenings including fit testing and drug screening
• Obtain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD/IGRA, and Varicella
• Complete annual physical and health statement requirements
• Pass specialty-specific competency testing for medical-surgical nursing
• Complete skills checklist validation and Joint Commission testing
• Adhere to code of conduct and maintain patient confidentiality agreements
• Complete mandatory training including child and adult dependent abuse training
• Undergo background checks and maintain compliance with regulatory screenings
• Complete color vision testing as required for patient safety
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
