Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services as a Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical unit
• Work every 3rd weekend as part of regular scheduling
• Participate in holiday rotation including 1 winter, 1 summer and 1 non-holiday
• Maintain current nursing licensure and complete license verification
• Complete required health screenings including fit test and drug screening
• Obtain and maintain required vaccinations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD/IGRA, and Varicella
• Complete mandatory compliance training and documentation
• Pass specialty specific competency testing for medical surgical nursing
• Complete skills checklist and demonstrate clinical competencies
• Undergo criminal background check and maintain clean background status
• Complete education verification and maintain professional standards
• Participate in Joint Commission testing and maintain compliance
• Complete child and adult dependent abuse training
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
• Work standard 12-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures and code of conduct
• Maintain patient confidentiality and system security agreements
• Complete required onboarding documentation and forms
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
