Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading $facility_type$ in Torrance, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for labor and delivery patients including low and high risk patients with conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and multiple system disorders • Care for antepartum patients with multiples, hypertensive disorders, diabetic conditions, and multiple system issues • Circulate and recover cesarean sections • Perform postpartum dilation and curettage procedures • Float to Mother/Baby unit as required • Provide care for patients across multiple age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults • Maintain current ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, FHM, and NRP certifications • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Set up delivery tables and assist with deliveries • Perform non-stress tests • Provide newborn care services • Complete 24 hours of facility orientation • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Float between affiliate hospitals as assigned • Work flexible weekend schedules as required • Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Maintain valid California nursing license • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Comply with facility policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
