Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for acute medical inpatient stepdown telemetry patients
• Monitor and care for patients with cardiology conditions including CHF, RAF, and cardiac medications/infusions
• Manage telemetry monitoring and temporary pacemakers
• Provide post-procedural care for patients from Cath Lab, EP, and TAVRs
• Administer medication loading protocols and prepare pre-operative patients for cardiac surgery
• Document patient care using Epic electronic health record system
• Work 36 hours per week in 3x12 hour shifts (day or night as determined)
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Complete required competency testing and skills checklists
• Comply with all required health screenings and vaccinations
• Complete mandatory compliance documentation and training requirements
• Maintain valid nursing license and provide verification
• Adhere to professional standards and facility policies
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NY
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
