Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ED ER to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency department nursing care for a 13-week assignment working 36 hours per week
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 1900-0730
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for patient documentation
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Complete required compliance documentation and onboarding requirements
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Maintain current nursing license and provide license verification
• Complete required health screenings including drug screening, PPD or IGRA testing, and immunizations
• Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and code of conduct requirements
• Complete Joint Commission testing and maintain required certifications
• Participate in background checks and employment verification processes
• Adhere to system access protocols and confidentiality agreements
• Complete required education verification and professional documentation
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NY
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
