Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Seward, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care services as an LPN in long-term care setting
• Maintain current BLS certification and valid Alaska state license
• Administer medications including oral, IM, SQ, and subcutaneous injections
• Perform blood glucose monitoring and testing using glucose monitors
• Manage feeding tubes including PEG tube (G-tube) feedings and NG tube care
• Insert and manage Foley catheters for both male and female patients
• Provide oxygen administration via nasal cannula and face masks
• Conduct vital sign monitoring and communicate patient status changes to RN/MD
• Perform wound care and basic patient care including bathing, ambulation, and mouth care
• Administer respiratory treatments including nebulizers
• Assist with phlebotomy lab draws and IV hydration as needed
• Provide care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, and cognitive/physical impairments
• Maintain isolation precautions when required
• Document patient care using ECS charting system
• Float within facility and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Work 4x12 variable shifts with 1:20 patient ratios
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of LTC experience
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required
• Operate specialized equipment including lifts, Sara Steady, and pacemaker transmitters
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
