Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Salem, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures in compliance with hospital policies and procedures • Operate state of the art Nuclear Medicine gamma cameras, probe and computer systems, film processors, survey meters, and other technical supportive devices • Work 4 days x 10 hours with rotating weekday schedule • Take call/standby after department closes until open • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Maintain registration in Nuclear Medicine with either NMTCB or ARRT • Maintain current BLS certification and obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire • Complete Basic Cardiac Monitoring class within 4 months of hire • Complete required modules pre-start and annually (up to 8 hours non-billable) • Float to affiliate hospitals as needed, including West Valley Hospital • Perform various nuclear medicine procedures including DEXA scans, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, PET scans, perfusion studies, and whole body imaging • Handle storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials • Draw venous blood and start/maintain peripheral IVs • Follow isolation precautions when required • Work with adult patient population
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
