Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including bone scans, cardiac stress tests, renal scans, thyroid scans, and brain imaging • Operate PET/CT and nuclear medicine equipment including Siemens PET/CT machine and E-CAM nuclear medicine cameras • Conduct specialized procedures such as MIBG, thyroid ablation treatments, parathyroid scans, and cardiac amyloidosis imaging • Start and maintain peripheral IVs for contrast administration • Perform phlebotomy and venous blood drawing • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and manage pharmacological stress protocols including adenosine and persantine infusions • Utilize PACS system for image management and Epic charting system for documentation • Float between outpatient center and hospital departments as required • Provide care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations • Work collaboratively with students and interdisciplinary healthcare team members • Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules averaging 16 hours • Commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
