Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Eureka, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform ultrasound examinations across multiple specialties including women's scans, vascular, and general imaging
• Conduct ultrasound procedures for neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Handle daily caseload of 8-20 patients depending on department needs
• Float between hospital and outpatient center as required
• Work flexible schedule including weekends and weekdays
• Provide coverage for hospital independently when needed
• Take call at least once per week
• Maintain flexibility for schedule changes due to call-offs or extra call requirements
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Maintain current BLS certification and required specialty certifications
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Maintain valid state licensure
• Comply with facility dress code requirements
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Perform duties using facility-provided communication devices when required
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
