Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide radiation therapy services to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including breast, prostate, lung, and head and neck cancers
• Maintain current BLS and ARRT T certifications
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records
• Perform external beam therapy, IMRT, SRS, SBRT, and HDR procedures
• Operate specialized equipment including HDR Unit, CRad, and CT SIM
• Create and utilize custom molds, custom shields, and compensation filters
• Perform tumor localization, block cutting, and B-Mode acquisition targeting
• Conduct CBCT/kV/mV imaging and calculate radiation doses
• Work with treatment planning systems including Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian)
• Implement radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions
• Utilize lift/transfer devices and participate in rapid response/code teams as needed
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required training modules pre-start and annually
• Maintain valid state licensure and provide minimum of 2 supervisory references
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, lift teams, and rapid response teams
• Handle approximately 35 patient visits per day
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
