Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sleep Tech - Polysomnographer to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform polysomnography services for pediatric and adult patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 for adults and 1:1 for pediatrics
• Operate Alice 6 G3 software and ResMed CPAP units
• Conduct sleep studies including baseline sleep polysomnography, MSLT, and titration studies
• Perform PSG scoring and documentation in Epic charting system
• Monitor and assess cardiac abnormalities, respiratory events, and sleep stages
• Provide patient education on sleep disorders and equipment
• Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure
• Hold RPSGT or RRT with SDS certification
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Provide weekend coverage on alternating schedules
• Complete 40 hours of orientation
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for sleep study procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
