Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide radiation therapy treatments using Varian equipment including TrueBeam, Halcyon, and 21iX linacs
• Perform adult outpatient radiation therapy procedures
• Utilize CBCT/kV/mV imaging for patient positioning and treatment verification
• Treat patients with benign brain tumors, craniospinal cases, and stereotactic radiosurgery
• Administer IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy) treatments
• Treat prostate cancer patients with seeds and fiducials
• Perform specialized treatments including gynecomastia, heterotopic bone, keloids, and prophylactic treatments
• Operate ARIA treatment planning and record verification system
• Conduct chart checks and treatment verification procedures
• Maintain radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions
• Work collaboratively with treatment partners on all procedures
• Treat average daily census of 110 patients across 3 linacs
• Utilize Siemens CT simulator for treatment planning
• Maintain current ARRT T certification and BLS certification
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Complete lab testing within 48 hours of assignment acceptance
• Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months
• Maintain valid NC or Compact state licensure
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
