Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Seward, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care services as a CNA in long-term care setting
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Utilize ECS charting system for patient documentation
• Float between units within facility and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Provide direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with ambulation and safe transfers
• Perform complete bed baths and personal hygiene care
• Assist with feeding patients and provide mouth care
• Obtain and monitor vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations
• Conduct glucose point of care testing using glucometer
• Provide incontinence and elimination care
• Perform turning and repositioning of patients
• Implement decubitus care prevention measures
• Change linens for occupied and unoccupied beds
• Provide foot care and skin care services
• Follow proper isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Report changes in patient condition to supervisory staff
• Care for patients with geriatric conditions, Alzheimer's, dementia, TBI, and psychological behaviors
• Operate specialized equipment including Skylifts and Hoyers
• Maintain valid state CNA licensure
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering required employment period
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
